Farment Biosolution Ltd is a Canadian company specializing in fermentation processes and systems to restore soil biodiversity and increase farm productivity.

What we offer

Fermentation of manure.

Fermentation system proposed by Farment™

BIOGAS FERMENTATION IS A SERIES OF BIOLOGICAL PROCESSES IN WHICH MICROORGANISMS BREAK DOWN BIODEGRADABLE MATERIAL IN THE ABSENCE OF OXYGEN.

Biological Nitrogen is the future of agriculture.

FARMENT bio solutions focus on achieving this in a way that is different from conventional practices.

Together with Nitrogen-fixing bacteria and fermentation, we can provide farms and farmers with all their Nitrogen needs. Our process uses fermentation to make your nutrients up to 20 times more efficient, allowing farmers to do much more with less.

How? Why?

Above the soil

Without proper photosynthesis, plants will not grow. This process relies on the production of chlorophyll, which needs to absorb energy from the sun. Amino acids will increase chlorophyll production, which leads to better quality photosynthesis.

Below The Soil

The better root growth favored by the addition of amino acids can enhance the biological nitrogen fixation, which leads to a more significant production of ureides. Furthermore, with the larger root surface, the nutrient uptake can also be increased, for example, nitrates.

Allowing farmers to work smarter, not harder! While taking advantage of new possibilities and/or revenue streams.

FAQs

Please reach out to us if you have any questions.

How do you handle/store the product?

Farment is a living product.

No light; store in a dark place.

No heat ( <35C), store in a cool place.

No freezing (>-20C), use all product within season.

Keep airtight: oil film on surface.

Straining = important; product is alive, yeast will form, you must strain clumps 10f yeast before use.

Avoid contact (eyes, nose, mouth, an1d wash hands after use).

Can Farment be used with a conventional nutrient program?

Insofar as Farment is not simultaneously applied with a high concentration of chemical fertilizers (ie: 20-20-20), then the microbes will survive. High salt concentration found in chemical nutrients can kill microbial life. However, microbial inoculants obtain optimal performance with low dose concentrations of organic fertilizers (ie: 2-2-2) or with manures.

Do you have a Pro-Cert approval?

No, but we are able to be approved on the basis of Producer Request. We are going to apply for full Pro-Cert and Eco-cert certification in 2020, but in the meantime, it’s handy to have the Producer Request option. We also have OMRI USA at this time.

What are the best inputs to use with Farment?

Organic inputs are best, such as cold pressed sea kelp, fish emulsion, molasses, humic & fulvic acids and mycorrhizae are the most effective inputs with an Farment program. In the words of Graeme Sait, a leader in regenerative agriculture, he suggests that “behind every mineral is a microbe”… suggesting that microbial life in the soil ingests and breaks down nutrients to make them plant available (bio-available) so it’s best to apply together.

Does Farment work with mycorrizal inputs?

Yes! Trials have shown that the application of Farment in the soil encourage the growth of other good microbes, including heterotrophs, pseudomonads, actinomycetes, filamentous fungi such as mycorrhizae.

When are the best times to use Farment in the growing season?

Seed and in furrow treatments at the time of Spring planting as well as a post harvest residue treatment in the Fall.

What crops perform best with Farment?

To date we have yet to see what crops haven’t responded positively to Farment.

Can Farment be used as a foliar application?

More testing is required at this time to be sure, but to date we haven’t seen the benefits of the product being used in this manner. Farment performs best in the soil.

Can Farment be mixed into a program that includes Round Up (glyphosate)?

Yes. If you must use this input, then facultative anaerobes are one of the best inoculants that can survive in the presence of Round Up. Use simultaneously with the spray application of the weed killer. Farment can be used at a rate of 1 ltr per acre.

Services

Bio Regenerative , or Biological farming is a different approach to crop production that addresses moisture management, maximizes plant vitality and nutrient density. Supporting the natural function and fertility of the soil produces crops that are more resilient to environmental stress.
